Hierophany

The Rite is being directed from a Grand Hierophant a process that is Egyptian in its character and that is not to be found in any other Masonic Grand Lodge. This very process derives from the Misraim and the Memphis Rites. The Initiatory succession is guaranteed in the Ancient and Primitive Oriental Rite of Misraim & Memphis accordingly, by means of the Sovereign Grand General Hierophant – Sovereign Conservator of the Order and of the Rite, who is declared “ad vitam” and who, before his passing on to the Eternal Grand Pyramid, activates the proceedings for succession by his testament in favor of one of the Grand Conservators (33ο 90ο 95ο). In this way, the Sovereign Grand General Hierophant ensures the continuity of the Order and of the Rite.
